The Anti-TestsSELF-DISCOVERY. WITH RESERVATIONS.

BEHIND THE ANTI-TESTS

Special tests.
Suspiciously familiar people.

I’m Ronald, the maker behind The Anti-Tests. I create the Anti-series under the name Simon Star. Apparently one name was not enough to contain all the reservations.

Some personality quizzes ask for your favorite color and announce that you are a loyal dolphin. Lovely. But the dolphin has never bought storage boxes to organize things it should not have bought in the first place.

The Anti-Tests is for adults who would like their self-discovery with a little more recognition and considerably less motivational wallpaper. These unusual personality quizzes explore everyday habits, social pressure and the stories we tell ourselves to make it all sound intentional.

In The Great Anti-Consumption Test, shopping habits, impulse buying and consumer culture receive the attention normally reserved for a delivery notification. In the Parent Perfectionism Test, the tone is gentler: a little space to notice the pressure to be a flawless parent while being an actual human.

Read a situation. Choose A, B or C. Your answers lead to a personality profile. Expect dry humor, cynical observations, occasional dark humor and the uncomfortable pleasure of thinking, “Unfortunately, yes.” The parenting test brings more warmth than bite; not every subject needs a roast.

Created by Simon Star, this growing collection brings the Anti-series into interactive online quizzes. Five tests are ready now, including Not a Christmas Quiz for people whose festive enthusiasm requires negotiation. The Great Anti-Social Media Test, explores doomscrolling, oversharing and the remarkably demanding business of staying connected. The Great Anti-Routine Test takes on repetitive days, daily habits and the optimistic fiction that next Monday will be different. More are on the way.

Very special tests for very special people. Especially the ones who insist they are perfectly ordinary.
